Role & Responsibilities
The project manager is responsible for overseeing construction projects from initial planning through final completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards. They serve as the central point of communication between clients, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key responsibilities include project planning and scheduling, budgeting and cost control, contract management, and coordinating all phases of construction. The project manager works closely with the on-site superintendent to ensure daily operations align with the overall project timeline and objectives.
They are also responsible for managing client relationships, handling change orders, mitigating risks, and resolving issues that may impact progress or cost. By maintaining clear communication and strong organization, the project manager ensures a smooth process and a successful outcome from start to finish.
Role & Responsibilities
The on-site superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a construction project, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as the primary point of coordination on-site, the superintendent manages subcontractors, suppliers, and crew members while maintaining clear communication with project managers and clients.
Key responsibilities include supervising all construction activities, enforcing safety protocols, maintain on schedule, and ensuring compliance with plans, codes, and specifications. The superintendent monitors progress, resolves issues as they arise, and maintains job site organization and efficiency.
In addition, they are responsible for quality control, site inspections, material coordination, and keeping accurate records of daily activities. Their role is critical in delivering a smooth construction process and a successful final product that meets both client expectations and industry standards.
