3. Services
We provide residential construction services including new construction, remodeling, and project management within the State of Oregon. All services are subject to a separate written contract that complies with Oregon law.
4. Estimates and Bids
Any estimates or preliminary proposals are non-binding and subject to change based on site conditions, final scope, material costs, and permitting requirements. Final pricing will be outlined in a written contract as required under Oregon law.
5. Required Written Contracts (ORS 701.305)
All residential construction work will be performed under a written contract in compliance with ORS 701.305. Contracts will include scope of work, pricing, payment terms, and required disclosures.
6. Consumer Protection Notice

7. Payments
Payment schedules will be clearly outlined in the construction contract. Oregon law limits certain upfront payments and requires transparency in billing. Failure to make payments may result in project delays or suspension of work.
8. Construction Liens (ORS Chapter 87)
Property owners should be aware that contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers may have lien rights under Oregon Construction Lien Law. Required lien notices will be provided where applicable.
9. Permits and Compliance
We will obtain required permits and ensure compliance with applicable building codes enforced by the Oregon Building Codes Division and local jurisdictions.
10. Changes and Delays
Construction timelines may be affected by weather, permitting, inspections, material availability, and unforeseen site conditions. All changes will be documented through written change orders.
11. Warranties
We provide warranties on workmanship as outlined in the construction contract. Manufacturer warranties apply to materials where applicable.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through direct communication. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to mediation, arbitration, or the Oregon Construction Contractors Board complaint process.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Oregon law, MV General Construction is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from website use or services outside the scope of the signed contract.
